A beautiful wedding

I truly apologize for not being active on my blog lately! Its busy crazy season and I am still adapting to working with a little one. If you’d like to keep up with me…check me out on facebook….I tend to update it more than anything else. AND I’m currently having a new blog AND an updated logo designed. SO Many things going on at Nikkala Anne Photography! YAY!!

So I wanted to update with a NICE BIG LONG POST….a wedding that Miss Jill Tomb, owner of Three Winks Photography, and I photographed together. We started Polka Dot Frosting Wedding Photography together and TRULY ENJOY photographing weddings together. We have a TON Of fun with our clients.

This wedding was photographed at Nemacolin Woodland Resort and OH MY GOODNESS was it gorgeous.

The bride was absolutely gorgeous, her mother did her hair/makeup and she just looked beautiful. Her daughter looked on as she got ready. She got a little teary eyed in the nervousness and excitement for mom, but soon calmed down.

It was a short limo ride to the other side of the resort where the wedding would take place. And I could see the nervousness in the brides face as we entered the elevator. When we emerged and Grandma got her first look at her beautiful bride, her expression was so precious. The ceremony was beautiful on a BEAUTIFUL day. Their little one couldn’t QUITE walk yet so she tried a walker, but got a bit of stage fright but NO WORRIES, daddy picked her up!

The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom of the resort and it was absolutely GORGEOUS.  The food and drink stations were AMAZING and every little detail was so well thought out. Each and every guest seemed to be so impressed with everything!

We escaped a little before the reception for some photo opportunities of the newly married couple. It was quite overcast by this time, and we decided to use the architecture of the resort for their photos. It was GORGEOUS.

The reception…the maid of honor and best man had such wonderful toasts.  And the brides dad and grooms mom had written their own little notes to their children which were shown on the big screen while they danced. Oh My Goodness…I try never to get caught up in moments, but I got very teary eyed.

Before we began our day of photographing, the grooms mom secretly asked us if we would stay an extra hour…she had a special surprise for the bride and groom…FIREWORKS. And not only did the band do an amazing job, but the best man and their good friend(who was in the band) sang some extra special songs just for them. They are truly loved and blessed couple!! Congratulations you two!! Here’s to an amazing and wonderful future!!

Cousins, sisters and a barn

I love this family!!(um, maybe because they are my family too!!! lol) We met at the farm where my sister has her horse and takes her riding lessons. I love going there to ride her horse but this time it was to photograph our beautiful cousins!!

It was a little chilly and MUDDY, but nothing wrapping up in blankets between photos and cleaning off our boots before leaving couldn’t fix! I would love to take more photos here…or build myself a barn!! I just love old wood and things IN a barn.

At this one, there is a goat that follows you around everywhere…we had to lock him up tho. He was too interested in being in our photos!! lol

Look at these two beautiful sisters…

And this guy just looks like he belongs in the barn…boots an all!!

And all the cousins…they are all so beautiful!

I miss fall leaves but REALLY looking forward to summer green!!

Soccer and cheerleading…two of the sports we included in this seniors photos. She’s such a beautiful girl and seems like quite the athlete!! Her Mom, of course, was always a pleasure to see again!

Really looking forward to senior season again! I love photographing them…they are always a pleasure to meet and their parents are always SO nice. I recommend every senior bring their mom with them for their shoots. Mom sees things I sometimes don’t. A messed up hair, an unnatural look in their face(i try my best in getting everyone comfortable but being infront of a camera can sometimes feel awkward to someone not used to it)..moms are really helpful in seniors looking their best!!

A senior girl by a cemetary…

I met this girl and her super nice mom at a cemetary in Greensburg. It was SO fitting that it was a dark gloomy day too and right around halloween!!!(yes I’m that far behind in blogging!!)

Those thoughts combined made me jump at every single noise lol! I probably made her think I was crazy every time I did! But it was somewhere I had never shot before and I always love trying new things! There was an awesome old stone stair walk way and a cool brick drive to the cemetary. And I LOVE the photos I got that day!

I just love blogging these sessions from what seems SO long ago and remembering each person I meet. A perk of the job…I get to meet new people ALL the time and everyone is ALWAYS so wonderful!!
